Went on exploratory mission to south with heyren & knights, etc our job, if attacked was to occupy Horseth in the tower we fought in on 5/7. We were portaled into basement. Swept basement, killed ~60 orcs, most in one big room. Went upstairs & fought MU (illusions & summoning), demon cleric, transformed into lammasu, thaumaturge & five phase spiders & 2 animated ballistas, a a dozen orcs. Illusions blocked our sight & we got attacked with arrows & ballista bolts. Caphraxas fell to demon (8 armed insectoid) and Fireball. Sormac and Kelina attacked demon. Sormac  and Lydell paralyzed. Lindil unparalyzed Sormac Eldred cast diamond & attacked demon. Kimil paralyzed, then Magic Jarred by Horseth. Lammasu teleported & attacked Daramin from rear. Dwmyr chased him away. Messy battle. Horseth thru Kimil cast Explosive Fireball killing Sormac. Ceralus used scroll to charm him. Put him into his own body and captured Horseth. Demon dead. Cleric escaped. MU & thaumaturge dead. Ceralus contacted Heyren and party portaled to southern city where battle still raged. We watched Heyren and other high levels fight a man they called the Shiru. Eventually we retreated. City was finally destroyed. In tower was found an evil dagger (given to Kurn) and some maps.
